We are diverse, inclusive, and authentic:
Outcasts
Jesus welcomed everyone. He valorized a Samaritan outsider, conversed with a cast-out woman, and healed the untouchable..
Social Justice Warriors
Jesus called on his followers to defend the weak and oppressed, not lionize the oppressors.
Rebels
Jesus took the religious leaders of his day to task, for focusing on outward religiosity rather than spiritual development. The authorities hounded and killed him.
